About the company
Goodluck Defence and Aerospace Private Limited is a defence manufacturing company incorporated on 31 August 2023 as a wholly owned subsidiary of Good Luck India Limited. The company was established to strengthen India's defence manufacturing ecosystem by producing 155 mm artillery shells and other precision-engineered defence components.
Leveraging the parent company's more than three decades of expertise in metal forging, machining, heat treatment, and engineering solutions, Goodluck Defence aims to become a reliable supplier for both domestic and international defence markets. The company plans to use advanced manufacturing technologies, including open forging, die forging, robotic forging, machining, heat treatment, and protective coating, to manufacture high-quality defence products.
To support its long-term growth, the company has announced a proposed capital expenditure of around ₹250 crore. This investment will be used to establish a manufacturing facility with an annual production capacity of approximately 150,000 artillery shells. The project is being funded through a combination of investments from Good Luck India Limited, which has invested ₹40 crore, along with capital raised from other investors.
With increasing defence spending, rising exports, and the Government of India's focus on 'Make in India' and defence self-reliance, Goodluck Defence and Aerospace is strategically positioned to capitalize on the growing opportunities in the defence manufacturing sector. Its strong technical backing, experienced parent company, and focus on precision engineering provide a solid foundation for future growth.
